My background started in end-user and endpoint engineering, where I worked heavily with macOS, MDM and endpoint security. From there, I moved into data protection and security engineering, then into data engineering and automation, before moving into platform and SRE work.
The technologies have changed, but the focus has stayed fairly consistent: finding operational problems, automating them, and building systems that are more reliable and easier to operate. I now work mainly with AWS, Terraform and event-driven automation, while drawing on the security and endpoint experience from earlier in my career.
